The accommodations were excellent.  The owner has put money, passion and creativity into the development of this wonderful property. This boutique resort is truly a garden paradise. For all that they offer it is not expensive. I am semi-retired in the Philippines and plan to come back.

Alta Cebu Resort was everything I dreamed it would be. Relaxing and restful with friendly, courteous staff. The property manager won the Best Business Woman of the Year Award, 2009 presented by a local TV network. Resort is well run and excellently managed. I will recommend this place to others and I will return.

If I were to rate the resort based only on value, it would definitely be #1. We were really impressed”with the beauty of the place. The kids loved living in native village huts (don’t worry, they are really modern inside). Alta Cebu Resort is a distinctly different with lots to do for both kids and adults. Our kids had so much fun. Can’t wait to go back!

I recently sent two weeks at Alta Cebu Resort.  It was all that I hoped for. The American owner is very hands on; he personally greets guests making sure everything is right. Best of all are the room rates are surprisingly affordable for what is offered.

What I enjoy most about ALTA is the sense of complete relaxation I enjoyed there. Most important are the grounds, which are gorgeously arrayed with tropical flowers, creating a true tropical paradise. The rooms are meticulously clean, spacious and comfortable. The quality of the food at the restaurant is consistently good. This is my second vacation at Alta. I’ll be back again!

In my career as a travel company executive, I've stayed at many traditional style resorts.. My fiance and I were looking for something a little less predictable for our honeymoon. After a lot of looking,we found ALTA. The natural setting and native style architectural theme is well planned. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, always greeting us by name with big smiles. The decor of each guestroom is unique. Thought not overly large, our room was perfect for our needs. I heard they have been rated by local industry professionals as having the best gardens in Cebu.

You can look across the bay and see the city lights at night. It is not hard to get a taxi to take us to the city or the airport, yet the resort is comfortably distant from this noisy, smoggy second world city. The best boutique resorts are usually found off the beaten path anyway, making them all the more trendy.

The jungle oasis setting made for an experience which was all that we had hoped for-exotic surroundings, warm and sociable staff; Alta is a very romantic place. With such a friendly atmosphere, it is also a great place to meet fellow travelers. I'm sure that these guys get a lot of repeat guests.
