Alta Cebu Village Resort offers scuba diving activities for beginners and experienced divers. In cooperation with Kontiki Divers Scuba Adventures, a certified PADI Dive Center and one of Cebu’s premium dive operators. Kontiki offers daily scuba diving activities like shore dives, boat dives and day trips to the beautiful surrounding islands with their amazing and abundant marine life.
Scuba Diving at Alta Cebu Resort
While being a guest at Alta Cebu, you can get to have your first scuba diving experience directly at the resort. You can conduct a beginner class “Try Scuba Diving Experience”, a PADI “Discover Scuba Program” or start even a PADI “Open Water Course”.

In the first part of the course your PADI scuba instructor will spend some time with you to explain the basic principles of scuba diving and give you an overview of your scuba equipment. Once you feel comfortable, your PADI instructor will take you into the swimming pool of the resort to help you acquire some basic scuba diving skills. Then, if you like it, In the second part, we will transfer to the beach for a real discovery dive up to 40 feet/ 12 metres with your PADI instructor The skills you learn during your Discover Scuba Diving experience may be credited toward the full PADI Open Water Diver certification. PADI Open Water CourseYou might sign up for a full PADI Open Water Course and conduct the theory lessons either online or with your PADI Instructor directly in the resort. Your confined Open Water Training can be deducted also inside the resort. Then, spend 2 days of exiting ocean diving applying the skills you learned on 4 Open Water dives together with your instructor. Here is an overview over the pool training: |

Scuba Diving for Certified DiversCebu offers some truly amazing dive opportunities: Protected marine sanctuaries full of marine life, colorful coral reefs, great steep walls, cave diving, wreck diving and even technical diving for advanced divers. If you are interested please get in touch with the front desk and ask about the upcoming scuba diving activities. Here you will get some first info on the available dive activities, the dive spots, day trips and island hopping tours. If you want to push through with your activity, we will arrange your transfer to Kontiki Divers for a minimal fee. The international team of dive professionals at Kontiki Divers will take care of your scuba diving excursions and dive courses. |

Confined Water Dives – Scuba Skills Training
You develop basic scuba skills by scuba diving in a pool or body of water with pool-like conditions. Here you’ll learn everything from setting up your scuba gear to how to easily get water out of your scuba mask without surfacing. You’ll also practice some emergency skills, like sharing air or replacing your scuba mask. Plus, you may play some games, make new friends and have a great time.
There are five confined water dives, with each building upon the previous. Over the course of these five dives, you attain the skills you need to dive in open water.
